Hi all,
I bought my "dream boat" last Saturday, 6/2/07. I bought a Zodiac Futura MK II C HD. It was a one owner boat used as a tender for a sailboat. She has a 40 HP 2-stroke Yamaha on her and she absolutely flies! I live on a small lake in Ontario and I plan on keeping her in the water. I notice (visibly notice) a leak coming from the bottom right at the transom. The water is coming up between the transom and back of the aluminum floor right at the right main tube. I see there are all kinds of seams there. I'm assuming there is a leaking seam. It allows about an inch of water a day in the back of the boat. This is easy to deal with as I just take the plugs and take her out for a short trip to self-bail. But I would like to plug the leaks. Is there a seam sealer I can use without totally redoing the seams? Is this something I can attempt or should I cart her to the nearest dealer? I appreciate any help here. I am brand new to Zodiacs, but really love the concept...they are perfect for my needs.
Regards,
Dave
