I have a 1991 Hydra-Sport DV-180-SX fish and ski. It is about 1100lbs dry weight. It hold 34 gals of fuel and has 3 batterys. The motor is 1991 Johnson 150GT with a 14.25x21 SS prop with little or no cup on it. The prop is other wise in good shape. It came like this on the boat when i got it. WOT it will run 47mph @ about 4900rpms. But I can not get the bow up enuff to get on pad unless the boat is empty. With a few people it slows down even more. Also I had to lower the motor to its lowest point to keep it from blowing out on turns. I am not so worried about more speed but I do want to be able to get more bow rise to get on pad. I am not sure if this is the origianal prop or not. Just wanting to know if I should have the prop re-cupped and try it. Or go ahead and have it dropped back to a 19 pitch and cupped? I just dont want to pay twice. I have also seen some good deals on new props and maybe keep the old one for a spare.
