Fish box ??

I have a 21 ft CC with 2 fish boxes one on each side. Problem I'm having is that one side fills with water which is good when im fishing. So I can put the fish in. The other side doesnt. Any ideas why? I shot water thru the opening to see if it was clogged. But it came right out. And the hose is t'd in with the one that works fine. It use to work fine both boxes would fill up as soon as I put the boat in the water. So what I'v been doing is filling a bucket of water and pouring it in.
Any ideas ?

When you ran water through the line did you go from the box out or did you go from the pump end to the box?

I went from the box out. The water came right out.

The reason that I am asking what direction is that it might be a check valve issue.

Each side of the boat has an opening about an 1 inch or so. where the water exists in case the fish box gets to full.

I didnt know they had check valves in them. But how does the water get in than?
When the boat is in the water. Water enters thru an opening on the side. Each side has one. That fills up the fish boxes with water. Only problem is that only one side is filling up.

Than when I'm done fishing and bring the boat back on the trailer I hit the fish box button and it pumps all the water out of the boxes.
