fish finder installation

I want to intall fish finder in my 13FT. Whaler.I can use 12volt power booster(jumpstart) to plug a finder? Ex. Humming bird 600ft max. deep

Make sure when you connect it to the battery that you use an in line fuse on the positive lead. Keep the fuse as close to the battery as possible. If the wiring gets wet and shorts out you want that fuse to blow so you dont.
