fish finder replacement

I have a Lowrance X24 currently mounted in the dash of my pontoon boat. The screen is not readable and I am wanting to replace it. If we buy a new depth finder do we have to use a Lowrance finder to use the same ducer? The closest model we found with the measurements to fit existing hole in dash is a Garmin 90, Thanks CaptH00k

Even if you use another Lowrance, it is very likely that a new transducer will be needed as these are also upgraded over the years.

Would want to call customer support to be sure though.
