Be certain to use fuses in-line at least.

Depending on which fishfinder you have, you may need to run a separate 12 or 10 guage
wire to the finder to assure adequate voltage at the power connedtion of the unit. I have
a Humminbird 898 csi, and many of the problems people report on the Humminbird forum
is due to excess voltage drop ( inaccurate readings, gps won't work, etc.). Do include a
separate fuse.
