Re: Fisherman robbed at gunpoint

Please don't turn this into a right to carry shootout, what it all comes down to is no matter how prepared you are, there's always something that will get ya. This one just happened a little too close to home, how I would react to a pistol pointed to my face remains a mystery that I would rather not find out.
It's sad that nowadays people are afraid to help one another for fear of something happening just like this, I know I'm going to think twice about approaching anyone in distress or not.

Just remember that all this talk of firearms and what you would do is just talk (no offense intended ) but as a teenager I was shot in a hunting accident and believe me the feeling is one you never forget and to this day the only firearm I own is a BB gun I will not expose my children to the temptatation of looking at dad's gun or just being curios and definately not on my boat that's for family fun we just have to use more caution as a70 said before loaning a hand and that's a shame guns don't kill people people kill people. The use of common sence will protect you just don't drop your guard and always be suspicious. If you boat in a larger populated area ( Cleveland s--t hole of Ohio) exspect thier proplems.
