Saturday was a great day to be on the water. There were plenty of mackerel to be had. We had jigged about three dozen in about fifteen minutes. Then we moved to the striper grounds around Cape Ann. With the motor running we put a couple of live macs on the lines and shortly there after we were reeling in stripers. With two of us on board we brought several to the boat with-in two hours of fishing keeping four fish. All the fish were over 38 inches. One fish was 47" weighing 41lbs.,one 46" fish weighing 36lbs. and a couple fish weighing around 25lbs.. we also seen tuna breaking water just outside the breakwater.
One good thing about here on Cape Ann you do not have to burn much fuel to go fishing. You might say the fish are on the door step.
