I've been to Florida many times especially the Keys but never fished for Tarpon.
Well today was my first Tarpon trip ever and I hooked up with Capt. Kevin Holly. We begun fishing about a mile off the beach of Sanibel and Tarpon were jumping every place but in the boat. My first five hook ups had broken off. The sixth tarpon wasn't so lucky. After several leaps and bounds it took about forty five minutes to bring the fish to the boat. This fish was a little over six feet and the capt figured it weighed about 120lbs.

SORRY!

Fish was so big would not fit in view finder of camera, HA! HA!

The truth is, neither one of us had a camera. The truth is that I very seldom carry a camera even when doing my own charters.

Pictures of fishing Cape Ann coming soon, I promise, really I do.

And Capt. Sam, thank you once again for providing me with a name to start the ball rolling.

no problem, glad it worked out for you. I quit carrying a camera too, there's a direct correlation between how good fishing is and having a camera on board.
