Cool looking kitty. My Smokey girl is just a bit greyer with fewr stripes. Earned her name when she was young and turned an electric heater over in the middle of the night and set the house on fire. As you guessed, we both are here today.

I don't understand why she does not like fresh fish.

My parents have a literal PLAGUE of cats around thier house .
My dad always keeps a lot of smaller bream he catches , and , saves them for the cats .
This is the only way he can clean the crappie and big bream without hiring an armed guard to watch the fillets !

Every so often I visit and there are a lot fewer cats .
I don't ask why , he doesnt volunteer any specifics . ;)
This usually follows the brazen theft of a fillet or 3 , which I DO hear about , many times for several weeks , lol . :D

Perfectly justified killings then... :D

Hey those small bream filet up nice too... You'd be surprised at how small of fish I can get 2 good bites of meat from. Any bream 3" or more is eating size. The small ones taste good, too.

Re: fishing the hard way

The wife has found a new use for my "BUD" Big Ugly Dish, C-band sattelite dish.

She enjoys her dried fish, uses it in soup as flavor and other various dishes I could never attempt to name.

She was watching me with a curious expression when I installed the dish, to get her Thai TV signal.

The wife really enjoys fishing, more than me:)

A few days after the dish was installed I came home from work and found a bunch of small bluegill, filleted out and drying inside the bowl of the dish, with my blue russian trying his best to figure out how to get way up there to the fish:redface:

LMAO , now THAT is multi-tasking !
Good to see somebody still using the old C band stuff , I always liked them better than those tiny DSS pie tins , anyway (no rain fade problems..) .
FYI , it is possible to use that thing for DSS/12GHz signals , you will never lose signal even in the worst storms .;)

I bet the manufacturer never dreamed of using it to dry fish , though .
Must be a mesh construction ?

I put up one last August with a multifeed for aquiring signals from 3 different birds at the same time .
This was a 6 meter with solid panels .
Made a pretty darn good solar cooker , as I had the best tan of my life and came close to heat stroke twice !

she's a retriever, it is part of their nature to look for flying things to catch.
