Yup, its a crappie, just better to call it by the local name/regional name, cause if you don't then you get questions like, Where did you catch them, What bait did you use, Can you eat it, Is it boney, How do you cook it, etc..etc. Then they got to look at it and the ridicule starts, like, Boy how dumb are you, them ain't nothing but Speckled Perch, Where you frum, You ain't a yankee are you boy...
