Some time ago fishing with dynamite was legal. It was common for guys here to blast the fish into a daze, then dip them out with a net. They would still be alive.

It is now in the Florida fishing regulations that dynamite is no longer suitable for fishing. Duh! Are there other common sence regulations in the books in your area?

I thought this header was about the joke. The gamewarden approached a cajun (holding a lit stick of dynamite in his boat)and informed him that it was illegal to fish w dynamite. The cajun handed him the dynamite and said"you gunna tawlk or fish?"

Think I'll stick with my rod and reel....dynamite seems to take the fun/sport/skill right out of it for me! But I've heard folks still do it in some areas!...what ever happened to peace and quiet?

Re: Fishing With Dynamite

Seems to me it would be kinda dangerous just trying to put a stick of dynamite on a hook. (Sorry guys.)

How'd you like to be scubadiving and .....BOOM!That might hurt.I wonder if there were any accidents, slippery fish hands, maybe too many beverages. This might be the origin of "Hey yall watch this".If you dropped a hot stick in the bilge or somewhere hard to reach it probably wouldnt help much to jump out of the boat!!!
