Determined that my 67 Johnson 20hp has a spun hub. Drove the brass/rubber hub insert out of the prop...now what?

I know the standard answer is to find a prop shop to press it back in, but in the event that I am told they wont work on a prop this old, can I JB Weld this back in and use it as a spare?

What is the downside (other than the lack of 'cushion' for an impact?

I hate to throw away a perfect prop because of the hub....

Well, if you must go that route, I would say to clean the inside of the prop hub of corrosion, if any,,, and use contact cement liberally (it is very sticky, & slightly flexible when dry, it will adhere to the prop metal, & rubber, quite well) much better then something that's not very sticky, and gonna get rock hard, and possibly lose it's grip on the rubber.
