Fixing a swim step

My wifes fat friend was to much for my old swim ladder that is attached to the steps fiberglass.Can somebody get me going in the right direction as far as a video or tutorial on beginning fiberglass repair? Thanks.

Uhmm, a little bit better description of what you are wanting to do would help us steer you in the right direction.

Basically the swim step is a tubular U and each end was bolted through the swim step.The holes in the swim step have become elongated to where if someone used the step the bolts would pull through.So I want to put new glass in that area and redrill the holes.Probably like a patch repair basically
