Need some help people. I need a new bracket that holds the flame arrestor on my mercruiser 2 barrel carb. Been searching the internet but evidently not in the right place. I realize I might not be able to get just the mounting bracket, but I'm okay with buying a new arrestor. Anyone have any site suggestions? Much thanks.

the carb stud holds the flame arrestor in place, what exactly is wrong with yours?

Doc...the bracket, plate, holder...what ever its called that sits on top of the carb is broken beyond repair. The arrestor itself and stud coming out of the carb is fine. The broken one is the original cheap plastic.

Re: Flame Arrestor

Not the circled one Doc...its the piece under the arrestor itself that sits on top of the carb, then the arrestor sits on top of it.

That be the TKS carb... Top cover not available as a spare part. You need the complete carb. Ouch $631... Good luck...

Out of curiosity, how did the original get broken (or would you prefer I didn't ask that?)?

Chris.....
