Boy this looks familiar.it seems that every time someone trys to correct txwinners spelling they screw up :D
Well it would seem that way from my view anyway. :) If for no other benefit, txwinner almost single handedly could keep the high blood pressure medication company's stocks strong. :)

Also ,I'm sure that the MW spell checker is a nice feature if you post your comments in the right thread. :D

Go said. Let me remind you this is not a liberal vs. Conservative problem like you make it out to be. It is a problem for the working citizens of this country to come together and speak with one voice. Enough is enough. At some point you have to take care of you and yours before you take care of others.

AMEN. And so mote it be.

With or without Bill, I am suggesting you're instead of your. Also, you should consider a semi-colon or period after ok (sic) and before everything . . . :p :p :D

Edit: never mind, got sucked in  and there is not enough room here to correct all of those. Did you know that gullible is not in the dictionary?

laissez-faire

did i spell that correctly?

that is what is happening; citizens of this country are allowing every other non-citizen do whatever they want, as long as they come here to do cheap labor.
we aren't minding the store on this issue, until now. its making rounds in government. probably not because of the inherit danger in undocumented trespassing, but because we have tax relief, and some beaurocrat thinks we can make more money for the government by obtaining all the lost taxes these immigrants should be paying.

Re: Flip-flop, Flip-flop - C&P

but it is flipflop for JK to vote for a long term plan on paper and then put forth an oral stmt that it should be temporary.

personally, i think its great to have a 3rd world country's occupants strive to come to the land of the free and the brave, and have the choice to get a higher education. but i don't agree with letting any friggin trespassing be made legal, or condoned, period. if their gov makes them out to be a bad person, then they should have to be vetted out by our generous judicial system. and we should close up any loopholes to prevent easy access to our land by unknowns. they should come over and be processed legally, and get their free representation (in court). but in no way be allowed to just sneak over and then get free bennies. i cannot accept this as a part of what our founding fathers envisioned. every family must provide for the government and make sacrifices to have the priviledge of living here.

I guess that's what is known as having egg on your face. :)

But along the same lines, to paraphrase Dan Rather "Although the documents may be forged I stand by the story" :D

Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, take the dirt from the moat and raise the levies in New Orleans , and then put some Florida alligators in the moat! Hey prob solved. Borrowed the plan but I like it.

I like the moat idea heycods, then any of the gangbangers we catch can be deported to the moat. Solves our problems and solves Mexico's problem. There would be lots of fat alligators!

Re: Flip-flop, Flip-flop - C&P

There is a problem only to the extent that citizens are being deprived of jobs that are being taken by illegals, leaving the citizens without jobs.

If we reduce the supply of potential labor, without decreasing the number of available jobs, we are going to increase the wage rate, which inevitably will lead to higher prices, and inflation, which will impact all citizens in who knows what all ways.

The problem with simplistic solutions targeted at just a symptom of the problem is that it inevitably leads to unintended consequences where the cure is often worse than the disease.

While Kerry probably could have phrased his response better, it is indeed a complex problem that requires a thoughtful, rational, and probably multi faceted solution.
