I bought a Sierra Carb kit. The float needle on the new one is about 1/16" shorter that the original needle. Should I use the new needle?
Thanks

Re: Float Needle Lenght

I suspect you got the wrong kit.
However, you could end the float to spec to make up for the difference.
Sometimes Sierra has "improved" some aspects of the OEM parts which could be another possibility.
I'd double check the numbers.
Whatchya got, we can look it up.

Re: Float Needle Lenght

Assuming that you got the right kit for your motor and the needle tip is compatible with the needle seat, I do not see that there is a problem with the small difference in length because you will adjust the float level with the needle in the closed (seated) positon anyway.
