Floation Foam

I just posted on another thread. Not sure where to post in here. My Pontoons are leaking, can't get a local foam guy to fill them. I saw something interesting on ebay today but there are so many scam out there.

Anyone have knowledge or used one of these? I'll spend the money, just hate to waste the money.

For that kind of money you can buy a pair of new pontoons. If the current tubes are steel there isn't much one can do other than fill them with foam. Aluminum tubes however can be easily welded if its a seam or puncture that's causing the problem. Obviously steel can be welded as well but if they are weak in one spot, they will be weak in many so welding is usually not a good option.

If they are leaking and you put foam in them wouldn't they just get water logged from the foam taking on and holding water?
