I'd call that a quality window installation job, not to much leakage!

Looks more like a good photoshop picture. I know I can see it. May have something to do with the Chinese writing on the signs of the building in the first picture.

???
There's no Chinese writing. Those are windows with some reflections in them. Look at the second pic, that's the same building. And, on the third pic, you'll even see the reflection of the central pavillon in the window at the far right...

Saumon, I take it that these are not your pictures based on your location. Don't be offended by the comments. How often do you see a window that close to a horizontal surface? The black moulding looks the same in two of the photos with some edits. I don't see the Chinese writing either but I don't have the same photo viewing software that everyone else has.

Yes, bad flood and it sucks for those going through it.

I'm not naive and know Photoshop but maybe some news footage can convince you

That building, in front, seems to be the Van Andel public museum

Still, I wouldn't bet anything on the fish shadow. Could have been added, but I hope that the "senior multimedia editor" of NBCNews (http://photoblog.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/04/21/17852725-fish-swims-by-window-in-grand-rapids-mich-floodwaters) have, at least, taken the time to check the integrity (unaltered) of the pic from the SD card before posting it on their site...

Yup ... that's the Grand River. It's for real - and at least most of the news sources think the fish is too.

Michigan is pretty soggy right now from what I saw (and I was only as far west as Lansing). The drive back from Flint to Nashville was interesting. Big pools of water standing all over Michigan and Indiana. I believe someone died today in Indianapolis - got washed down stream.

Y'all along the big Miss watch out ... she's risin' too from what I gather.

We at least the great lakes will get some much needed water to raise the lake level... even if it's only 1/8".

The great lakes region needs a lot of rainfall to raise the lake levels and this is how you get it.

I'm from the Grand Rapids Area, and yes, that pic is for real. Certain buildings along the river had to have water pumped INTO them to equalize pressure for fear of them caving in. Some are just starting to get cars out of the parking garages that were below ground.

I went to a boat launch on the Grand River that I use, and there is a pay kiosk with a roof over it. The water was up to the roof, so that would be 6 foot deep there, plus another few feet down the ramp where the water level normally is. Historic levels for sure.

Id say it was photoshopped is because the water level is higher then grade. which would mean there should be as much water on both sides of the window, or at least some water. I don't care how well those windows are sealed water is going enter the building from somewhere. As for the water level shown from outside the building I believe its possible ,I just don't believe its possible to prevent the water from entering the building.
