I have a 2002 Mercury 30hp elpto 2 stroke outboard that suddenly developed a serious flooding isssue. I’m pretty sure it is the carb but it is strange that this all came about after I changed the squeeze bulb and fuel hose. The old fuel hose connection to the motor side was sucking air around it when the motor was running. Since changed, it seems to be dumping fuel into cylinder and out the exhaust. Took off the carb to clean it but it looks great and the float is the plastic type with tab that isn’t adjustable. What am I missing or overlooking? Should I just purchase a new carb? Thanks in advance for any input.
