Re: Flooding thru transom when in reverse
LOL... now I know why boats are named "His Mistress" and such... I'm sure I've spent more time sitting in this boat in my garage this winter than I will in the next 5 years on the lake... but it's better than watching TV...
The floors are back in, foam is good, used fiber reinforced bondo to cap the holes and then epoxy-painted the floors twice. I put a disk of 1/2" ply further support the seat... there is a 1/8" plate of aluminum below the deck as well (original equipment).
The fuel tank sender had not been working well so I wanted to have easy access to the tank... and good aeration of the ski locker so I built a Mahogany grate to serve as the centerline-floor of the boat... I like the look and I think it will hold up well. I've decided to Durabak the side sections and then make a piece of wood trim to join that to the carpet on the sidewalls...

Tonight I finally rehung the transom shield... What a relief! good to be building up again.

I'd like to hear any hints about applying Durabak over the epoxy/ply...
Thanks again for all of your help.
Steve
