Well, my back survived another weekend of floor work. I am now ready for carpet which, on this boat, has to be put on before the cap. The glass isn't pretty, but I smoothed it out with a grinder and glassed back over the rough spots again. I also got the rubrail trim attached with about 100 3/16 aluminum rivets. The transom is shaped square again and ready. Here are a few pics.

Floor deck before glassing.

Provision for the new floor drain and cover which is recessed so that it's flush with the carpet.

Floor deck after glassing. See the provisions for the drain, the ice chest drain tube, and the new hole for the third seat pedestal base?

New front compartment floor. The boat didn't have one before. This will make for a nice add on. The two tube provide drainage to the bilge which is beloew this little deck. The tubes are now cut off flush and glassed in after the pic was taken.

Bench seat support. This was non-existent also. The glass bench was pretty flemsy, so I had to support it.

Rearranged everything except the gas tank location. The tilt/trim pump is now mounted to 1/4" aluminum plate and move forward away from the transom where it was since it was actually resting on the lines. This made good use of the area for the battery charger.
By far - fiberglassing the stringers and floor were the most tedious parts of the whole project to date. I'm glad I'm past it. I'll have more to show next weekend which I plan to place the cap on the boat and have everything carpeted. Then I'll take measurements of the transom hole locations and have my stainless angles made.
Cheers...
