Floor Covering

Again another Floor covering question. This upcomming off season, I am going to be replacing the carpet, cleaning/fixing gas tank, & replacing part of the floor. I want to replace the carpet with the either roll in bedliner from Advanced/AutoZone or the garage floor epoxy. I really like the potential look of the garage floor epoxy and was wondering if anyone has any pictures/experience they could post.

As I have been browsing, I've learned alot about reflooring & floor coverings, but I have always been curious as to how the garage floor epoxy turned out.

Re: Floor Covering

I may get smacked for this, but I rebuilt part of my floor and pulled all the carpet up. I replaced mine with "Skid-Not" from Lowe's. It's designed for cement floors and has the fine non-skip in it. I just paint it on and it has done really good and it came in a light grey. It's held up pretty well so far. If it ever gets scuffed or stained (spilled drinks) I just grab a brush and hit it again. The can is like $20 or so. Hope this helps.

Re: Floor Covering

In the middle of this thread the comment was made that someone used Epoxy floor paint on the hull of their boat: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=215689

Maybe drop them a PM and see if you can get pictures of it.. I would make sure you use the real 2 part epoxy paint instead of the the new 'one part' stuff. How can it be Epoxy if you're not mixing anything into it??
