When pulling up a corner of the old carpet on my Yar-Craft Yankee I noticed underneath was all fiberglass. Not smooth yet like horse hair. I had planned on putting down some bed liner and calling it good. How do I fill that in or should I sand it down and secondly do I use a bed liner or use like deck paint with sand sprinkled in or something. Any advice would be appreicated.:)

You can certainly use paint with sand in it. Others on here have used no-slip coatings like Durbak or Kiwi Grip with success. I used marine vinyl on my project which also worked well.

Re: Flooring

Up here is washington state a LOT of people use bedliner in there aluminum boats. I don't know of anyone that uses it on a fiberglass boat. I think adding some sand to paint, or using the kiwi grip is a much better way to go on a fiberglass deck.
