Okay, I don't know what you are working on, but here goes.

Don't use pressure treated with aluminum. I would not use it at all.
1/2" 7 ply is great wood if you can find it. Just add a little extra support underneath. Or use 3/4".
I used 1/2" CDX plywood on one floor rebuild and coated it with a layer of glass/resin to keep moisture out. Also did the same on a transom replace 5 years ago, on a boat I just sold last month.

Re: Flooring?

You have your work cut out for you! Rotten decking means rotten stringers and most likely transom wood too. Start tearing everything rotten out and start testing the structure underneath for rot.

That picture is a real good example of a bad example, and shows exactly what happens when a boat isn't properly restored/rebuilt.

Your decking rotted because it wasn't properly glassed in after it was laid in the boat... and there's probably more unprotected and rotted wood underneath that decking. Have you checked your transom for rot yet, it's probably shot too.

Here's a good thread for you to read that will show you what you need to do to rebuild your boat properly so it will last and you can be proud of it:

Thank you for you input the stringers are in good shape not rotted and the transum is as well but still might just shure it up a little any ideas ?

Actually, your below deck structure is a nightmare:

Old rotten stringers sandwiched between two 2x's doesn't constitute "good shape"... you really should study up on how fiberglass boats are built.

Hey don't take the sometimes course statements here personally. I know how easy it can be to give up on monster projects and I applaud you for even thinking about tearing into your fiberglass fleetwing. You have some good progress going so far and the next step I would take is to pull the motor out or her.

Edit: I checked out some more of your PB pics and saw the OMC outdrive.

I am new here and not quit sure how to start a new post. Can someone please help me?

I am brand new to this site and new to boating. I recently purchased an older boat. a 1984 Sea Raider Bow Rider. It didn't run. I have her running now. But there are a few soft spots in the deck. I looked around and found a lot of information about replacing the wood flooring. The only thing I have an issue with is under the bow itself. I was able to get the rest up. But the bow of this boat has seats built in with storage underneath with a small (maybe 18" section) of plastic as the floor. Any ideas on how to get the wood out from under there? I am fairly handy. I did get her running. Just need some help with this floor. Any suggestions?????
