Hey, Kev..I was thinking about you, but the last thing you need is another boat in the driveway!!
We will see what kind of interest we get. It is a really neat, really clean and good running boat, so hope we get some interest. We thought the get together would be a good place to have folks look at it. Also, it will be in the water and ready for test rides!
We arent in a big hurry, but I think I can always find another fresh water boat..maybe something that will double as a flats boat as well...see ya Friday!

Thanks for the support guys . I've decided to find a truck - plain and simple it's what I need . Darn car couldn't of waited till I got to FLA to bust -then I'd have a good reason to stay.... I'll be sure to have 'nuff saved up for next year . Enjoy yourselves . peter

UPDATE FROM THE PARK 3:45 PM FRIDAY :

I spoke to Bob ( Tashasdaddy ) a little while ago and he said he had no problems launching at the ramp at the park ( large pontoon ) and a few folks were already there and it looks to be a great weekend.

I will check this thread tomorrow in the am before heading over for any last minuet info or items that people forgot....

looks like I'll be there on foot, just heard from the rip off artist, ahem... I mean boat mechanic, they've had the boat since Monday early and just got around to it today...what total B.S. I told them on Monday, if they could not get it finished by Friday at the latest let me know now....( so I could have make arrangements at another shop ) .....its not just an OH well, but things like this ( simple fixes ) that make us common boaters doubt mechanics ethics for quality work.

RP1 ~ I'm sure you'll still have a great time either way!!! I can't make it over there today either and I'm literally minutes away. I got stuck with working On Call for my company and they decided to do some system upgrades tonight. So no playtime me...

Oh well... My company pays for my toys so hopefully I can get some sleep and we'll pop by tomorrow.

Man its 95 in the shade down here guys...
Had a GREAT lunch cooked by Bard1 ( I only helped a little, he worked his arse off)
Dogs, burgers, beans, his lovely other half made killer camp potatoes with bell peppers n onions..A great feast THANKS IBOATS

Here is a wideview pic of the entrance to the picnic shelter area as seen from the parking lot. Yes, you DO have to scroll from left to right in order to see the whole view. On the right side you can see the boat ramp and a small portion of the canal leading out to the main lake.

Greetings to all our fellow Iboaters. We just made it in from the Iboats gathering and would like to say a big Thank You to Steve Denton(Iboats), Bob (Tashasdaddy), Andre and his wife(Bard 1), Kevin and Dianne, Barb T and all those who participated and made this gathering a great success.
Also had Nolan Lain(NLain), his wife and their grandchildren come down from Midway, Ga. to celebrate and hang out with us. His SeaRay 185 looked really sharp. Also to Dave11, from the Tampa area. He and his wife and his sharp looking Alumaweld 15'. Tashasdaddy brought the big 'ol pontoon and his gheenoe, also Kevin and his 14' Jon boat, always loaded to the hilt with some avid fishermen abgoard. Rentprop, his wife and big Yellow Lab came by to hang with us too. Here's a link to some of the pictures we took...can't wait for the next one and a few more folks to com join us.

Whew..been home a little while..I'm beat..

Just wanted to thank Andre (Bard1) had his cool old 14ft Starcraft w/an even cooler 18 horse on her..the SHARK BAIT ran Diane & her daughter out on the lake and showed them a good time, then came back for me and ran me out for a few casts at the bass...

Now Diane is eager for my 18 footer to be on the water...So a big thanks to ya Bard1....

Had a blast..the "B TICKET" will be at the next one...

Great weekend, special thanks to Steve Denton, iboat manager (engine sales) such a good sport. i totally surprized him, asking him to draw the door prize ticket. he jumped right in and we had a great time giving away +_ 50 door prizes.

Bayliner division, helped greatly with 9 Bayliner Discovery Backpacks, numerous Trophy, Bayliner Tshirts and hats. Gheenoe T shirts and hats, which we used to draw the tickets. super pair of Taylor Made Fenders, 3 $50.00 gift certificates, from Nuaticus Smart Tabs.

congratulations to Nolan Lain(NLain), for being the only one there with smart tabs on his Searay and winning $50 from Nuaticus. thanks John Deagro.

Regal boats, gave 4 sets of playing cards. Rick for the movie tickets, Dave for the bottle of wine from a local winery.

i also have to thank, Sylvia Patten, my roommate and Tasha's mom. for supplying the postage and printing, to solicit the door prizes.

we all have to thank, Bruno, and the iboats team, for sponsoring the great meal, and for the door prizes, 2 - $25.00, 1 $50.00 and 1- $100.00 gift certificates to iboats, marine stores.

i personally want to thank every person, who attended. all of them are not in the pictures, as they were on the water.

there will be another one. date to be determined, and place, Lake Griffin, is a great park, but i found one thing lacking, swimming, for the kids. please help me find something centrally located. is needs to accommodate tent, trailer, motor homes, and soft camping facility (motel) with in a reasonable distance. also another problem i found was docking facilities. it was great to leave the boats in the water.

It was a very good weekend and nice to meet some of the people here, thanks to Bob (Tashasdaddy) and helpers for putting this together, iboats for supplying the food and some very nice door prizes, Steve for coming and participating in the drawing for door prizes. Thanks to John DeArgo for the gifts that he supplied, I will be claiming mine for being here and having Smart Tabs. I look forward to the next one. I will also say that the dock area needs a floating dock with ramp up to aid the old and decrepid ones in getting in and out of our boats, kid swimming would have been a nice addition also. With the gator talk my wife would not let the boys go tubing, but they had fun any way. Once again it was a good weekend.
