Hi All,

My motor is running aok, but was curious if when running in a barrell if the water discharge out of the two upper holes should be "flowing" or more like spitting. Water comes out ok and is hot, but maybe it is not a solid flow is due to the fact it is in a barrell with alot of bubbles while it is running? The impeller is from last season so believed to be good.

Thoughts.

The holes on the leg are pressure relief holes for the exhaust. There should always be something coming from them when the engine is running at idle. Most of your exhaust goes out the snout though.

If you think you have a problem, open the cowl and check the rubber accordian hose at the back of the leg. They get brittle and crack and leak into the leg.

Thanks John,

Ok, so "there should always be something coming out of them even at idle"...Meanding this "spitting I see, of water and exhauset is aok. Somehow I thought these were cooling exhaust ports where the flow should be solid water flowing vs the "spitting"

Can you or someone verify, set me at ease..I know these motors dont really have a teltale...The boot you mentioned is aok, and after a few seconds after start up, there is water and exhaust spitting out of these holes.

The holes will spit water and exhaust at all speeds but mostly at idle is it noticeable. It is ok as they are supposed to do so.

If you want to add a telltale, it is easy with stuff from Home Depot. Take a look at the sticky at the beginning of the Force forum and it tells you how to do it. Took me about a 1/2 hour.

Regards,

John
