There is no place to put a muffler in a boat. It will get way to hot. The water is your muffler. It should already sound good that way, and you would only lose power if you installed a muffler.

In California they are enforcing sound regulations more and more each day.You could go with a thru hull exhaust and use supertrapp mufflers at the end.I've seen a few setups like that and they are alright. My favorite setup though is the silent choice. You get the best of both worlds.Your exhaust can either exit through the prop or through the hull, and it's all controlled with the flick of a switch on the dash.

having the boats exhaust come out of the inside of your prop is the only way to go, its reduces cavitation and eliminates the vacumn that would otherwise be there. Hey maybe you could weld a round muffler to your prop..:) JK

Make sure you get a stainless steel muffler then...that way it won't rust! :D
