Servicing lower unit on my single XDP composite lower unit/duoprop. Can't recall on how much 75w90 synthetic gear lube it takes? Usually have a shop perform the duty but none close by where my slip is..
It's a VP 5.7 Osi series with the XDP lower unit 2005 year.
Boater near me has same setup but uses either a Redline 75w90 synthetic or a Valvoline 75w90 synthetic. Any advice on those two. Local shop does not offer VP lower unit fluid brand but has the Mobile 1 SHC full synthetic SAE 75w90 gear lubricant in stock. I know that can be used. Anybody use Redline or Valvoline gear lubes????
