So... I just sold my flats fishing boat because the wifey wants to upgrade to a walkaround so we can camp, take the dog, etc. We are really interested in either a key west or a sea hunt. My wife wants one with a flushable head, do any smaller model walkarounds have flushable heads or are they all portable. I would like to keep the boat in the 20ft range. The toilet is not a big deal to me at all, but when your wife wants a bigger boat I guess I cant complain too much.

Thanks!

I am thinking on inland water your going to have to get a head, porta or not with some form of tank.
most places dont want black water discharge:eek:

thats one reason I have a 26ft "runabout"- for the wife's toilet- my boat has hvac-genset-full galley- aft cabin(good for storage) , hot water heater and have never any used it. - but I must confess I like the wave flattening 6500lb Wellcraft that will hit 43mph WFO and cruise 28mph at 3600rpm.:D
Hell I'll pee in there while around civlized folks.
Note: wifey paid cash for this boat:)

You can get electric heads on 22' and longer Grady Whites

Since you can only blackwater dump 3miles out to sea or more, there is really no need for a flushable head unless you are often out that far. Any flushable head would have to pumped out at a marina for a Fee. It would probably be better to just have a porata potty, then you can tie up the bag and toss out at the end of the day...
Looking at the Key West, you are gonna hace to get 21-23 feet to be able to accomidate even the porta. But I love the Key West boats...
