I think I might have a simple way to flush my engine after a saltwater run. I cannot get to the drive for muffs, so I was thinking of tapping into the hose that comes from the outdrive pump before it gets to the thermostat housing and adding a tee(1) with a valve(to direct water overboard). Next another valve(2) and then another tee(3) with a valve. Sounds a little complicated but in reality rather simple. Open valve(1) with a short hose attached (to go overboard), close valve(2), blocking flow to thermostat housing, Open valve 3 with fresh water hose attached, start engine and flush. Fresh water will circulate thru engine and manifolds. The only item NOT being flushed would be the pump within the drive. I am thinking 1 hr. labor+ $30 parts. All comments will certainly be appreciated!!!!!
