Is it ok to flush the engine with the engine trimmed all the way up? I only flushed twice and I trimmed the engine down incase it was required. Does it matter if you leave the engine tilted all the way up while flushing?

NO, it should be down in the trim area, and NEVER full up. you could destroy the ujoints, the bellhousing, the transom shield or all of the above.

Thanks for the insight. So are you saying never "run" in the full up position, or simply never keep it that high ever? I usually trim it till I hear it all the way up and leave it, or i'll sometimes tap it down once or twice to relieve a little pressure. Can you elaborate? Thanks.

It's good to relieve the pressure when tilted up, just NEVER run the engine when that high. To elaborate, if you want to tilt the drive ALL the way up, shut the engine off first, and leave it off till you put it down a ways.

Thanks for clearing that up and the helpful knowledge. So I am doing it right so that is cool. I'm new to I/O's :)

I feel that relief, buddy. When I got mine I couldn't get it to start, luckily it didn't before I became aware of the "don't start it when it's trimmed all the way up" issue.
