I am getting another old boat.
It is a Venture Pacer II with a Johnson 70.
I understand that it hasn't been in the water in 2-3 maybe 4 years. Gas has been left in the tank. He wanted to start it and make sure it runs but I said "NO! Don't start it with that old gas, let me drain it and flush the tank myself." I didn't want that old stuff to run through the carbs or engine and maybe mess something up.
Now, the question is; How do I clean and flush that tank?
I know I will at least have to run several cans of SeaFoam through it to clean the carbs when I do start it. Any other advice?
Right now I am concerned with rust and gunk in the tank, though.
Oh, yes....no I don't have the boat just yet. Probably next week.
