Other than cycling the pump and continuously pouring fluid in and spraying it out.

Take it apart and clean it.

TMD

What screw should I undo to spry it out?
I have an old 1976 merc 115hp motor and matchign trim sys. the rams have 4 screws on the two on top ( one is a flat head, the other is ahex key) and two on the bottom ( one a flat head screw, the other a hex key screw) plu sis thier any fluid that would be safe to use but at the same time would clean the lines? llike maybe decarb or somethign like that.. also on the motor that set ontop of the resevoir it has two screws in the center of the main body, I have tried my damnist to turn theese screws , they will not turn, what are their porpuse and how to losen them?

The flat head screws are for bleeding the air out of the system (per manual). I would undo these one at a time starting with the furtherest from the pump. Besure and keep the resivior full. I would use the recommended fluid, for yours I think it is 30 weight oil. As to using a decarb cleaning solution I would not as it tends to break down rubber parts and the rams are mostly o-rings I think you would probably do more harm than good. I would also check all the electrical connections for corrosion, bet this is your problem.

Re: flushing or cleaning trim system

Mine became sluggish from a simple loose connection at the battery. Motor always started fine, no other problems, but the power draw on the connection caused it to stuggle after about 2 seconds. I swithed from wing-nuts on my battery connection to lock nuts -- problem solved. Try the easy fixes first!

Incidently, my t/t system is pretty much submerged all the time. This shouldn't make much of a difference. Also, I pay close attention to rinse the unit carefully, and coat with a layer of Boeshield T-9 after every use.
