I traded a 1981 Coleman pop-up trailer to a friend last week. I told him it needed two new tires so he towed his flatbed trailer here to take the camper home with him. The flatbed has a railing around the sides with interior dimesion of 76 inches. My camper is 76 inches. He told me it would "fit". After several attempts, I persuaded him to put some 2 X 4's on the rails and set the trailer frame on them. That worked out and the camper is now on the trailer.<br /> Well off he goes to Tennesse from Indiana. About 50 miles down the Interstate the camper top comes flying off and breaks apart all over Interstate 65. No one was injured and no one ran over the wreakage, but he spent an hour picking up the debris. Moral of the story: Never trade a bottle of George ****el for a used, dry rotted camper.
