Mid 80's alpha 1 stern drive.
Mid 90's 4.3 engine.
My transom plate was originally mated to a bellhousing that used the 12" flywheel with the round coupler.
I need to know if my transom plate will mate with the newer style flywheel bellhousing that is used with the 14" flywheels and the triangular coupler.
My bolts are 9 1/2 inches apart center to center.
On the old bellhousing, there is a 4 inch offeset from the back of the flywheel bellhousing (Where it contacts the motor) and the center of the bolts (where it bolts to the transom plate)
Included are picture of the bellhousing that was originaly used with my transom plate.
