Some of the posts in this forum mention replacing flywheel magnets. One of mine has a small crack. Still runs ok though. Just curious, how do you replace those things? On my '92-25hp, they look like they're maybe glued on or something. How do you know if they're positioned in the right place?
Thanks

Re: Flywheel magnet replacement

They are epoxied in, an not available as a replacement part, the only way to get them is with a repacement flywheel

Thanks, I'll just leave the cracked one on there.

Evinrude sells an epoxy kit ($7) for gluing them back in--they had a bunch of magnets come loose.

Jeff
