I have a 1975 25hp Johnson/Evinrude 2 stroke. I can not remove the flywheel to get to the magneto. Any suggestions on how it is held on or how it can be removed would be helpful.

Harmonic puller and don't be in a hurry to remove it. I have taken a week or so to remove some. Slow and steady and all of a sudden it will pop !!!

Whatever you do dont hit it with a hammer you can break the magnets or worse damage the crank

yep! 12 bucks at autozone works like a champ and god knows i know in 3 days i have had mine off 4 times lol 3 of those on the water! in addition to not being impatient with it also be prepared for the very loud "Pop Clank" when it breaks lol because by then you will be in a quiet garage cleaning the fuel filter or carb bowls and it will scare the hell out of ya lol
