Good day everyone,

I was wondering if any of you have used Penzoil Marine Fogging oil in a spray can and have used Penzoil Fuel Conditioner and stabilizer in a 12 ounce bottle that you add to your fuel tank? Well I used both of those items today to winterize my boat. What I did is put the 12 ounce of Penzoil fuel conditioner and stabilizer into the gas tank, then I cranked the motor up and let it run for about 10 minutes then I sprayed the Penzoil Marine Fogging oil into the carbs while it was running, smoked up the place pretty good, then I sprayed the fogging oil intot each of the saprk plug holes and rotated the flywheel clockwise to get the oil spread evenly into the cylinders. I didn't know that Penzoil sold marine fogging oil. The fogging oil only cost me $4.10 after military discount. My question is is it good stuff and is the Penzoil Fuel conditioner stabilizer good also?

Bobby,

My only thought is that fogging oil doesn't decarb the engine. Did you do that this year? Sea Foam Deep Creep (the aerosol version of Sea Foam gas treatment) does a good job of that.

good luck,
fp

Funpilot,

I have run Seafoam in a few tanks of gas this year. What I will do is before I go to the lake again when the season is here again is go get some Seafoam Deep Creep and crank the engine over and spray it into the crabs really good while it is running and has warmed up and I believe I will be good to go. I just wanted to get the motor fogged up with oil so it want rust internally, because I probably will not be here next year because of my military career. I will probably be overseas for all of next year.

I have used both products on all of my outboards for the last few years with no problems.

I put the fuel stabilizer in whenever I buy the fuel, though.

I would use T-9 or Corrosion Pro on the outer engine parts and exposed steel and aluminum if you are going to store the motor a while. It helps to slow down oxidation.

if your going to be deployed, next season, it is very advisable to change the impeller, just before you put the engine back in use.
