Hey guys gonna winterize my 94 merc 125 tomorrow. Wondering about the carb system. When I am idling it and bring the rpms up in idle over 1800 will the bottom two carbs kick in like when in gear? If not how do I run the fog through the bottom carbs while it's running. I know I could take it out and attempt this while in the water but don't have time and have to do it with the muffs on.

Don't worry about it, the carbs pull enough air during idle for fogging, they just don't pull enough fuel for combustion.

You can also hook the fogger into the enrichment system. This way you don't even have to remove the carb cover.

But on the other hand I never fog and my motor is just fine. I think it's full of 2 stroke oil any way why add more oil to it? Maybe in certain climates. All I do is last time out burn up as much gas as I can. Drain the carbs and siphon out the rest of the gas to use in the lawn mower. Then I change the lower unit oil. I have found the best thing I can do as far as winterizing my boat is to make sure no rain gets in it. I get a new tarp for it every year.
