Re: Fogging Optimax's
You don't fog Optis. It gets forced into the injectors and makes them sticky. They say just to treat the fuel with stabilizer and run the motor(s) until it has a chance to thoroughly mix throughout the system. That takes a long time, so I cheat. On models with spin-on filters, I drain the filter and add 1 tsp each of 2-stroke oil and stabilizer, spin the fuel filter back on, prime it up and run for about 10 min. ( On newer models with the red castle spin-in filter in the VST, I remove that and put the stabilizer and oil in there. ) Once done, I drain the VST and I blow air backwards through the pee indicator to make sure there's no water still trapped in the fuel cooling system. I also tilt the motor up and down a few times to make sure all the water drains out.
