I finally got to your website, man you did a great conversion and rebuild on the beast, whole bunch of atta boys on that one, I hope mine goes as well, just been working on it a week but i've got it about ready to start the rebuild, should be a rocket when i get through the foam in that thing weighed a ton, I had about the same mess you did but my boat is already a bass rig so it wasn't as big as yours. My web page is also messed up started it and now can't edit it. Again GOOD JOB something to be proud of. Dave Boat Rebuild

Thanks for the compliments, your rig will be done before you know it and the suffering will be behind you. My rig has been a continuing evolution based on my never end desire to change my mind a billion times on what I want to use te boat for. Now it is configured for both deep water big fish trolling and bassin'. I had a good day yesterday trollin' for big boys. That ancient little Goodyear Seabee 5.5 horse motor trolled the boat perfect, and gas lasted forever in it. I trolled for about 5 hours and only used about 1.5 gallons of gas. The big fishin' derby is kicking off on the 22nd, so I probably won't go fishin with the boat next weekend. The one usable ramp will be a nightmare. I have seen it before, everybody yelling at eachother because engines aren't starting of whatever. They are in a hurry to get out and catch nothing, which is what happens to 90 percent of them.

Sounds like the fishing tournament is a cluster, You have a nice webpage once they got it fixed, no sooner than i started building mine the thing messed up so i can't edit it, everything is normal for aol. When you put the floor down did you glass both sides of the floor or did you just use resin on the bottom and then glass the top? I like the way you fabbed the seats, mine had a bench seat to begin with but i was thinking about putting a couple of bass style seats side by side on the box instead of just the cushion all the way across and will still have the storage under it, i have a bad back and need a little more support, supposed to wear a brace all the time but can't move in it. Keep up the good work on the beast.

The tourny itself isn't bad, they just choose to have it during the times of the year when you can't use but a few ramps. Its a 45,000 square acre lake, plenty of room, but when there is only one free ramp and a couple marina ramps to use, you can expect bottlenecks. The guys with cash just rent slips, but a lot of people launch every day.

I resin soaked the undersides and glassed the top of the floor.
