Hi CBK What prop size are you running on your Holiday, and what speed and RPM are you getting. The prop that came on my SS18 was in terrible shape and I want to get a new one, but could use some first hand info.

Hey bud..

I have a 15x15 on there and hit 31 mph...BUT
She wasn't trimmed @ all and not running as well as she could have.
In fact she overheated a few minutes after this run..And I was getting beeeched at for my "driving" lol

A good Prop Shop can make your old prop as good or better, for less than a new one however you need a spare prop anyway.

Thanks Kev, mine had a 15 1/4 X 21 that is beat and it went very well on the test hop, but like an idiot I didn't bother looking at the tach or the speedo. The Mercrusier manual lists the size I have but no 15X15 what rpm are you running at?
Puget, where I live it would cost more for frieght to send my prop out than it would be worth getting it fixed, and it is in real bad shape. I think they backed into something with it and bent one blade backwards about an inch. Surprised how well the boat went with it.

I'll double check the size then..Heck I could be wrong..
On that run my tach wasnt hooked up, if I had to guess, I say my WOT was in the 3,800-4,000 range.

I'll be right back with the actual prop size. Have you looked at the prop forum here on iboats? I peeked in there and there are some gurus that can give you a mathamatical formula that will make your head explode..lol

BTW CBK I did a CBK - pulled out of driveway,,,took first turn and trailer off hitch - never coupled! No harm done though.

No harm done - Kevin - you should have told me you were in WNY - I could have given you that outdrive!

Awww man...So glad it popped off there and not the highway or a busy street! I use a coupler lock now so that the latch cant raise no matter what..

Yikes..That was a heck of a trip, and I can see trying to carry on that OD on the flight home! lol..SECURITY! thanks tho broheim!
