does anyone use the "ram" mount on the bow to support your tolling motor? i had one deploy while doing about 40 mph across the lake. the composit shaft snapped but i ws able to salvage the entire unit. it's now fixed and mounted again but i'm concerned. with such a long shaft, 55", whats the best way to keep it steady while trailering and going across the water?
