Re: For those who pray

Of course, Mike.
Whereas I can't relate to the "executor's" (that's what they call it here) duties, I helped my sister as best as I could when she was placed in that position. Your wife will need you more than ever right now.
Carol and I are going to pray for you, and if there is anything we can do for you guys, please email me.

Re: For those who pray

Mike, in addition to our prayers, as one who has recently been through a similar situation myself, let me offer some advice. The grief alone is enough to exhaust even the strongest of people. If at all possible, I would recommend spending the money to hire a reputable tax attorney. There's just too much going on for her to be able to negotiate with professoinal collection and recovery personnel (some scrupulous, some not). The price of a tax attorney's services may be surprisingly small (and don't be shy about shopping around) and it is surely worth the investment. Best of luck.

Re: For those who pray

Thank you for all the prayers guys...oh and girl :) We do have a lawyer.........Ronda has promised to put things down for today and just relax........For the most part, I have had to be her strength but I have to be honest Im at my wits end, I need a break too. Our youngest one, (8) being quite smart has played on our emotions and is a bit wild right now, and our oldest ones (17) and (18) have ther own issues with it. I have yet to grieve for him due to feeling like I need to be there for all of them plus her extended family. It hits me at odd times. The man was increadable and there wasnt someone that he met that wasnt touched by him. Larry was the best of the best, If I am loved by half of the amount of people, half as much as he was I will count my life a success.

All over it Mike. Mrs. QC has been there, done that.

The best grief counseling tip I have ever heard was that it is like a circle. Initially it is a very small circle. The grief comes and goes quickly around the small circle, but the circle gets bigger and bigger. The grief never goes away, but over time it has a longer and longer journey around the circle before it returns.

Re: For those who pray

No techno she has 3 brothers who are small town redneck ( not that thats a bad thing) crazy, drunks( thats a bad thing) and they are not real responsable so it has fallen on her to be the one to take care of the details. I really appretiate all the thoughts and prayers guys........funny thing is, I am part of numerous Christian forums and it has always been the folks at iboats who come through for me and her when it comes to prayer comfort and just a pick me up when needed. Kinda backwards but Im not about to look a gift horse in the mouth :) When she is ready I will show her this thread and she will be blessed. Thank you all.
