Pretty cool! I think after the first 45 minutes, it would get to be mundane. And it doesn't seem to run on the surface that well. Serious porpoising. Think they will sell all 10 they say are to be built?

That is seriously cool. When I win the Powerball lottery that is the first thing I will buy. I agree though, not sure how long it would be fun, and I guarantee somebody will die as a result of one of those, either an operator or an innocent boater that gets run over.

Not bad, but what happens if you flip it over like a jet ski? It's not bad, but it would be nice to see the thing operate in smooth water to see if it constantly porpoises, or if that was just them playing with it in the video. Basically an enclosed jet ski.

It would be cool to try out for a few hours, that's about it. I used my brother-in-law's waverunner one day & after an hour or so I had enough. I don't think they would be permitted on any lake's that have boaters with tubers & skiers on them because of visibility. Did you notice the video from the cockpit? When he dove under the water & came back up you couldn't see anything for a few seconds, just enough time to smash into another vessel. The people around here can't keep from hitting other boats when they can see them:eek:. Cool toy if you have your own lake I guess:D

the website says they suggest you have a tender boat nearby.
It also says surface speed is 50 mph so I suspect the "serious porpoising" was done on porpoise.

I was hooked, right up till I got to the part

"The custom tuned exhaust system also gives the vessel a more throaty growl as it tears across the surface."

Pretty much ruined it for me.

I don't think visibility is much of an issue since jetskis perform the same maneuvers all the time and the rush of water over the front blinds the rider temporarily just the same. I'm sure those "submarine" maneuvers should only be performed when clear of other vessels. It's no different than doing spins/etc on a jet ski . . . you don't do them in congested areas. The other item that I would be concerned with aside from rollover is that it has a locked canopy, so in the event of a fire or some sort of exhuast leak, you might be in trouble if you can't find/get to the latch.

that thing has been out for probably around 5 years, if not longer since the first time I saw it..

attitude control is done via 2 foot pedals to control the flippers, so you can completely barrel roll it, as well as the porpoising in the video.

I'm thinking military use...or at least that's who I'd be marketing to. That or the tourist industry around Loch Ness...

No pole holders, live well or room for a cooler. Where do you put the fish? For that matter, it would scare the fish away.:D

In the safety section it seas "Positively buoyant, self-righting hull design".
