Re: FORCE 01

randy,<br />Ok, all outboards from at least 1970 on have a fuel recirculation system or more commonly known as a puddling system. basicly how is works (this goes for all outboards that are carburated) at low speed two strokes cant burn all there incoming fuel so it starts to back up inside the crank case so what the manufacturers do is install a check valve system of some sort that takes the unburned fuel from the crank case of one cylinder and injects it into the intake stream of another (right before the intake ports) this helps keep the motor from loading up and runs a lot cleaner. In the old days we used to take the unburned fuel that puddled up and dump it over board the epa didnt like that much lol go figure? In the old days you used to see a raw fuel slick around the outboards which made me think this could possible be the problem on the post that i answered.
