I did some maintenance on my 1993 Force 120 lower unit and discovered that the exhaust seal (Part #F698735-1) is deteriorated and not usable.
So I ask the following:
1). Does anyone know whether this is truly needed to run the engine without harming it?
2). Does anyone know where I can find one. I cannot find one online anywhere.
3). If I tried to make my own, what type of material would be used.
