FYI, the 4 cylinder engines (atleast mine, 1990B 120hp) would set the alarm off at higher speeds when the waterpumps where going bad. I know you replaced the impeller, but the wear plate and the stainless base plate can lose their seal and cavitate causing the pump not to supply enough water for cooling. Without a telltale tube (pee tube) this cannot be seen, but will be heard when the alarm goes off.
