Force 120 - propeller question

Does anyone with a mid-late 90s bayliner w/ 120 Force OB know what size prop they have?

I had a 13 1/4 x 15 pitch 3 blade for skiing. I am positive on the pitch...can check diameter later to make sure. I know my 9393 force 120 was a great running motor but HP as rated at the flywheel and not the Oreily. So it was really equivalent to a 90lot mercury.

Thanks 93! Is that a 13 1/4 x 15 pitch 3 blade aluminum propeller? What's your max speed and WOT RPM's?

I believe my 99 is also a 13 1/4 but I put a SS 3 blade with a 19 pitch on it. Mine is on a fish n ski though, not a bayliner.

Props for your engine vary by what use the boat will get and what size the boat is. They also vary in diameter from12 1/2 inches to 13 3/8 inches--usually just called 13-- and do vary some with pitch. Pitches usually are odd and vary in increments from 13 to 23 inch pitch although there are some manufacturers that produce even sized pitches. And, I think I have a 25 pitch prop lying around somewhere.
The come in aluminum, stainless, and composite. They are 15 spline with small outer hubs to fit the Force smaller 4 inch diameter gearcase. However, late 90s engines with Mercury gearcases may be larger than earlier Force engines. I don't remember because I have worked on so few lat models.

These are a couple of 13 inch diameter props.

Most common applications other than big heavy boats and pontoons will usually take a 13 X 17 or 13 X 19

Frank, thanks for the info. What size would you recommend I get? I have a 95 Force 120 that's getting around 4400-5200 RPMs WOT with my bent propeller. I mainly use the boat for cruising around, tubing, and fishing. Thanks for your help!

For a 1995 engine you must use a thru-hub exhaust prop. 4400-5200 is a broad spread with 4400 just below recommended range. Does it vary that much with load? If you are getting to 5200 with your existing prop, stay with that pitch and perhaps if money is not an object buy another prop 2 pitches lower for the heavy loads where the RPM drops to 4400. Nothing wrong with used props if you can find what you need.
